Hampton By Hilton High Wycombe

After a day at the Eden Shopping Centre, we spent one night here. The room was nicely arranged and suited our needs, with comfortable beds and a super large-screen TV. We had dinner in the comfortable seats near reception. The menu was limited, but the beef lasagne was excellent and there was plenty of it. Breakfast the next morning had lots of hot and cold choices, though it could have been hotter. Check-in and check-out were both quick, and we had no problems.

Paulina deserves a special mention. She creates such a welcoming atmosphere, and her positive attitude made the stay much more pleasant. The other staff were friendly and helpful too. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the beds were great to sleep in. Breakfast was tasty with a good range of food, and the location is convenient for the town centre and public transport. Hampton by Hilton in High Wycombe is a good choice for a short stay and worth the price.

The location was convenient, and I stayed for two nights. The room was okay, but when I went to hang up my freshly ironed clothes, the hangers were dusty. I tried calling room service but got no answer. Christmas morning breakfast was disappointing. The food was cold, so I only had toast, and the milk jug was empty when I went to make tea. I put it down to it being Christmas Day and a possible staff shortage. Boxing Day was little better, even though the hotel was busy. The food was warm, but there were no plates, milk, or bread. Cleanliness and breakfast service fell short of what I expected. Bottled water was provided free for Christmas.

The food was a bit overdone and basic, but the staff were lovely and helpful, with nothing too much trouble. The hotel was warm, clean, quiet, and delightful, and the room was very comfortable. We stayed two nights on a Shearings Coach tour for the ABBA Voyage concert. The coach trip across London to the venue was worth it. I’d stay there again if I’m in the area.
