The Huntsman Inn

I bought my parents a one-night stay and they loved it. Their room was peaceful and warm, and they slept really well before having a fabulous breakfast in the morning. The hotel and restaurant are beautiful, and the evening meal was so good. We all chose the Barnsley Chop, cooked to perfection and very tasty. The staff handled an unexpected power cut in the local area really well. Manager Dave did everything he could to keep us updated and reassure us. Thanks to all the hotel staff for looking after them. We'll be back!

The Manchester IPA was just right, and the food was delicious without costing a lot. We came as four for lunch, and the place had a lovely feel to it. I’ve been before, but this visit impressed me enough to finally leave a review. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and quick. Looking forward to coming back to The Huntsman soon. Well done to the whole team.

We shared the roast for two, with three meat choices each, roast and mashed potatoes, plenty of fresh veg, stuffing, pigs in blankets, Yorkshire puddings, cauliflower cheese and loads of gravy. It was piping hot, generous and worth every penny. The food was amazing, the place was very clean, and the atmosphere was great. Staff were attentive and so friendly. Highly recommend, and can’t wait to return.x

Ben was everywhere, on the bar, at check-in and clearing plates, and made the stay feel special. The waiting staff were brilliant too, always happy to help. The food was excellent, and the wine, dine and duvet package was great value. The location is fab, and my favourite part of visiting at Christmas is the decorations.
