We got a stay and dine voucher for Christmas and had a great time. The staff were friendly and helpful, from booking through to the end of our stay. Our room was immaculate and cosy, with a coffee machine and tea and hot chocolate facilities, and the beds were comfortable. The food was amazing, tasty and served in nicely sized portions. We also joined the quiz and bingo, which were welcoming and fun. Lovely surroundings and good walking nearby. We'd definitely stay again and highly recommend it.

We all had a three-course meal on our first family visit, and every dish was amazing from beginning to end. The food was beautiful, the pint was great, and the pub looks stunning inside and out. There was a warm, friendly welcome too. Dani, our server, was so helpful and friendly. We can't wait to return. Highly recommend.

Sam, Dani and George made our group of four feel really welcome, and the service was fantastic. Three of us were visiting for the first time, and we were all impressed. The Sunday roast was excellent, desserts included, and the atmosphere was cosy and warm. Highly recommended.

We had a brilliant New Year here. As always, the food was amazing, and the room was beautiful. The staff were fantastic. Thanks to Mark for the laughs and Robert for such great breakfast service. I'd absolutely recommend a visit or stay, and we'll be back in spring or summer with our classic mini.

After visiting Little John's Grave just up the road, we stopped in for lunch and were greeted very warmly. The food was really nice, and Sylvia was attentive. It's a cosy, dog-friendly pub just minutes from Hathersage's main street. We were in the area for the weekend, and we'll definitely return. We'd also consider staying here.
