Heacham Manor Hotel

Breakfast tasted good, though service was very busy and we had quite a wait even though we arrived fairly early. The room was well equipped, with a big, comfy bed, and we slept well. There was the occasional duck quacking in the night, but it was fine. I'd stayed here years ago and loved it then, and we found a room at a reasonable price for one night. I'd definitely stay again.

The hotel is in a great spot, close to Hunstanton and Heacham. Parking was a bit of a scramble, with golfers using many of the spaces, though I suppose that's to be expected. Perhaps some could be set aside for hotel guests. We had a nice visit, but maybe expected more than we got. We were welcomed warmly, and our P1 room seemed nice at first. It was very spacious and clean, though getting there meant passing through a lot of fire doors. The wifi was hard to access and painfully slow once connected. TV reception was patchy, and the channel we eventually got kept breaking up. Maybe the room's location was the reason, but management should know about it. Dinner at the mulberry was pleasant, and service was polite and prompt, as it was at breakfast both days. One main, the fish and chips, was very greasy and overcooked, and the restaurant was cold. This was my first trip away since recovering from a foot injury, so I had high hopes for the visit.

We like getting out for walks, and this hotel is well placed for that. Hunstanton is a steady 30-minute walk away. On our second trip to Heacham manor, we stayed in the main building. The room was clean, warm and comfortable, and the food was excellent, especially dinner. We had a great time again and won't hesitate to return.

The cottage rooms and hotel were heated a little too warmly for us. Still, the dinner, bed and breakfast package was very good value, and the staff service was exceptional. Emily, Rory, Charlotte and Tara were especially friendly and helpful.
