The welcome pack was full of useful details, and the room was really comfortable. I was travelling alone for two nights while working in Billericay, and the location made things easy, with a bus stop very close by. Dinner was delicious and there were good choices at breakfast. If you need somewhere around Stock, I’d absolutely recommend it. I’d stay again for sure. Thank you.

The lamb roast was delicious and came in a very generous portion, and the starters and desserts were just as good. They were nicely presented too. My family and I had a great Sunday lunch here, though the tables were quite messy and the menus had food stains. I know it was a busy Sunday, but there were plenty of staff working, so things could have been tidied up more to make the visit more pleasant. That’s why I’ve taken off a star.

The halloumi burger was definitely worth recommending, with four huge chunks of halloumi, and the breaded Brie was incredible too. I had such a nice lunch here. The staff were kind and really accommodating, and the food was tasty and came out quickly.

The gammon was the one letdown for me, as it was cold rather than warm. I used the eggs to heat it up, though that first bite was a bit off-putting. Everything else was great. I had the gammon with fried eggs and fries, while my wife and her friend shared the Prawn sandwich with chips, and my daughter had the kids burger. The burger patty was handmade, with nice onions and other bits in it, and my wife loved the sandwich. I also had a nice cold beer while we waited. Friends suggested this pub while we were in town, and we were glad we came. We loved the look of the place, and everyone was super friendly.

Mark and his team made us feel so welcome, and breakfast was included in the room rate. What a find The Harvard Inn was. It’s a beautiful place in a great location, with spacious, well-equipped rooms that had everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay so much that we’ve already made two more bookings. Highly recommend.
