We stayed three nights in February in the house across from the main hotel. The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable, but the window looked straight onto the car park, which wasn't ideal. The hotel was nice overall, though I marked it down for the cold room and breakfast. Outside it was freezing, and the heating seemed to switch off during the day. The small radiator didn't make the room cosy. Service at breakfast was fine, but the food disappointed me. Continental choices were limited: one kind of unchilled yoghurt, no fruit or cold meat, and just one two-slice toaster for the whole place. It felt a bit neglected and wasn't being topped up. The cooked options varied. The full Scottish was fine, but the poached eggs could be overcooked, and the French toast I had one day seemed burnt and far too sweet. The 1.5 slices of bread felt odd, too. We skipped breakfast on the third morning. I've stayed in many places in Inverness and have been in here for a drink before. The price was fair for what we got, but it didn't feel like a four-star experience, and I'm not sure I'd hurry back for a stay.

The riverside setting is lovely and the location is amazing, but that's really what you're paying for. We spent £360 for one night in a deluxe double, and it didn't feel worth it. The rooms are dated, with old furniture and an old-fashioned bathroom. There's no smart TV, USB socket or plug by the bed. We also had a very noisy night because wedding guests were outside at the front. The bar looks nice, but don't let appearances persuade you otherwise. As someone who travels often and has stayed in much better hotels around the NC500 for less, I hate paying so much and not getting the experience to match. I'd have preferred to spend half as much at the Premier Inn on the riverfront, which would have been much better value.

The buffet was a real highlight, freshly made, beautifully presented, and delicious. Our family and friends had plenty of positive things to say about it. After viewing several venues, we chose the Windsor Suite at The Glenmoriston for a funeral tea, and it suited our gathering perfectly. Kelly, the hotel events manager, kept in touch, offered suggestions, and helped us work through all the decisions. Thanks to the whole team. We'll recommend you whenever we can.

The room was clean, comfortable, and well appointed, and it was a relaxing place to return to after a long day. Getting around Inverness and the surrounding area was fairly convenient, though the location wasn't perfect. Service was the weak point: it felt uneven, and a little more attentiveness and clarity would have helped. The comfort and room quality were solid, but the service brought the stay down. With some improvement there, this could be a much better stay.

The bar was warm and welcoming, which was especially nice in the cold weather. We had a fantastic weekend here, with a lovely river-facing room and a really comfortable bed. The drinks and cocktails were great, and the staff were so friendly and helpful, always ready to do more for us. Ten out of ten 🤩
