The owners of Inglestone house make you feel very welcome and are genuinely helpful. With only a limited number of rooms and guests, they can focus on making your stay a good one. The house is a lovely Georgian place right in the heart of Kelso, across from the beautiful abbey and just a few steps from the cute town centre, where there are plenty of nice restaurants to choose from. Highly recommend it.

After the very long walk from Melrose to Kelso, arriving at Inglestone House felt like a real blessing. The room was great, and so were the friendly hosts. They even had amazing banana and chocolate muffins for us, just the thing for my sore legs. I'd definitely recommend staying here if you're travelling to Kelso.

We had a small problem with our room when we arrived, but it was handled very professionally and we were offered another one. It was cosy and warm, with fresh, clean decor. Inglestone House is spotless and very well kept, overlooking the green, so it's quieter than the town centre while still only a minute from the main square. There's tea, coffee, water and biscuits in the rooms, plus fresh milk available at reception any time. Breakfast was good quality, with excellent service and nice conversation. A great place for a short break in Kelso.

Kelso is a lively town with some wonderful independent shops, and the location here was perfect for our Borders Abbey Way walk. Our hosts made us feel so welcome, and the room, service and breakfast were all excellent. We also loved the garden. We're already hoping to book again later this year. Thanks for such a great stay.
