George at reception made checking in feel oddly motivating. He was so helpful and friendly that his customer service seemed smooth enough to replace a Dyson vacuum for efficiency. It was like he’d downed a protein shake, put on his best Converse and decided the world deserved elite hospitality that day. The room was spotless and the bed was ridiculously comfortable, like sleeping on a feather. At the Premier Inn in King’s Lynn, George turned an ordinary hotel visit into a strangely heroic chapter of my travel history.

Christine and Courtney, two lovely ladies, were welcoming and remembered my name from my previous stays. They made sure I had everything I needed and were attentive and reassuring, especially as I was travelling solo. The hotel was clean and had all the amenities I needed for the night. Thank you, ladies.

I’ve stayed here on and off for work over the past two years. It’s a great, clean hotel, with friendly and helpful staff and standard pub grub. The main problem is how short staffed it seems. Staff often look stressed, service is very slow because the POS system is slow, and there’s only ever one person serving at the bar, even when there’s a big queue. Still, it’s a great hotel with friendly staff.

The hotel itself was clean and fine, with friendly staff throughout, and the evening meal was perfectly okay. The restaurant was a letdown, though. It felt very understaffed, with long, slow queues to order food and drinks in the evening. Breakfast involved a 25-minute queue just to get in, and then the bacon was undercooked while the scrambled eggs had been microwaved until solid and dry. The staff on duty were trying their best, but clearly weren’t enough for a full house. Based on our experience, I’d get food elsewhere.
