The apartment had plenty of light and was lovely as a holiday space, but the basics were missing. There was no mop or anything to wipe the dining table, only a few pots and pans, no toilet paper or towels, and no dishwasher. The master bedroom light didn't work, nor did four of the five bathroom lights. The cooker hood and oven were broken too. Some extra dishes had apparently been bought by another renter, as mentioned in an earlier review. We were lucky to know about nearby halaal restaurants. The beds were so uncomfortable we woke with backaches, and the promised parking spot '22' didn't exist. Getting the keys was a struggle. We arrived around 2 after driving since morning, tired and hungry, and waited in the car for over an hour while repeatedly calling the owner for information. Communication was poor, and much of our three-day weekend went on waiting for him to answer. Even after a neighbour gave us his mobile number, he still didn't pick up. Don't book unless you're okay with a partly clean place and no basic utilities.
There were six of us in Cardiff for the weekend, and my father-in-law found these apartments because they were advertised as “luxury” and fairly central. The first apartment was so grimy and smelly it was uninhabitable: the bathroom light didn't work, the fridge was full of mould, and the place stank of cigarettes. The second was somewhat more habitable because the smell wasn't as bad, but it had plenty wrong too. Lights failed in several rooms, there were black marks, cracks and chips everywhere, and the table was held together with old washing line. The extractor fan was broken, there was no cutlery, and the bedroom window wouldn't close, so it was freezing. The shower was mouldy and loose, cobwebs were everywhere, and the dusty living room looked like someone had been playing ice hockey in it. There was no parking space for car number two, either. If luxury means having doors and windows, fine. If you expect working lights or a fridge without mould, you'll be disappointed. This is the most disgusting place I've ever stayed. I'd rather sleep in the car, which I probably will if local drug dealers don't steal it first.
It was so bad that I can't even list all the problems. I won't go back.
