The dinner alone would have made the trip worthwhile. My five-course meal was generous and expertly prepared, better than many expensive London restaurants. Breakfast was fresh too, and even the haggis won me over. I came in late February, when the weather made the setting feel especially dramatic: the wind roared around the working lighthouse, then lulled me to sleep. After walking the stark coastline, stepping back into the warm hotel felt lovely. My room, the bar, restaurant, and shared spaces were all snug and welcoming. Photos taken by the owner around the building add a homely touch alongside its history and practical comforts. Corsewall Lighthouse is a cosy hotel and restaurant in a remote, scenic spot, and the staff were cheerful and kind. I only wish the owners could get permission for guests to tour the lighthouse itself someday. If you can make it out to this part of the Scottish coast and want a peaceful stay with good food, it's hard to beat.

The food was outstanding, and the setting is beautiful. My accommodation was clean, warm, and comfortable, with a relaxed atmosphere throughout. The staff were so friendly and seemed ready to meet every need. I'd recommend Corsewall Lighthouse Hotel to anyone.

We booked the fixed-price dinner, and every course was delicious. The salmon starters were a particular favourite. Breakfast was lovely too, and the staff gave us personal recommendations from their local whiskey selection. The owner's landscape and wildlife photos are displayed throughout the historic building. The room was spotless and had everything we needed, plus thoughtful extras like sparkling and still water. The property itself is beautiful, and we enjoyed walking by the waterfront. We even spotted a few seals, their heads bobbing in the waves. We stayed just one night, but it ended up being the highlight of our Scotland trip. A perfect stay!

We were made to feel wonderfully looked after, from arriving to saying goodbye. The dinner was exceptional, and the breakfast was just as delicious. We love fine food, so both meals impressed us. We spent a fabulous night at Corsewall Lighthouse for my birthday. Outside, the isolated landscape and windblown lighthouse made a stunning, unusual backdrop. Inside, the details felt authentic while still meeting modern expectations. Thank you, Helen and John and the team, for creating such a special experience. We'd highly recommend it.

We only stopped for coffee and shortbread, and both were delicious. The rain was coming down hard, which made the place feel even more atmospheric. Such a great find, with stunning scenery and a quirky lighthouse that's a little spooky. Well worth visiting.
