We only visited the pub, we didn’t stay. The pies were the standout: huge servings and really good quality. The other pub favourites, including burgers, steaks and fish and chips, looked good too. It isn’t especially cheap, but food this good costs more. There’s a good choice of beers, including cask options from the owners’ brewery. I particularly liked the draught Unicorn. Staff were friendly and attentive, and dogs are welcome, with blankets so they can settle on the sofa. Our dogs felt right at home. We went on a Monday, when there aren’t many places open in this part of the world. This pub was a real find.

The steak pie was packed with tender, flavourful steak, and the chicken burger was delicious. Everyone was welcoming and friendly, and the service was great. Five stars.

We stopped for drinks after a walk. The pub had a lovely atmosphere, with friendly locals and a welcoming woman behind the bar. They’d also given us really helpful information before we arrived. I’d go back, and might try the food next time.

The room was clean and comfortable, with beamed ceilings and leaded windows. We stayed for one night after visiting the Ingleton waterfall trail, and found the Coach House cosy and welcoming. The landlord and staff were helpful and friendly, and the food was better than we’d expected from a two-star hotel. The building is apparently 400 years old this year. If you like places that are quirky, cosy and old-fashioned, give it a try. We loved it.

We went as a family of six on Tuesday 5 August 2025. The atmosphere was nice, the beer was great, and the service was good. The food was delicious, especially the homemade pies. Save some room for the sticky toffee pudding, it’s worth it.
