The burger arrived without coleslaw, and I love coleslaw 😭. Otherwise, I’d have given five stars. The staff deserve a raise: every one of them was smiling and went above and beyond. Big thanks to Sabrina (the teenage witch) and Basia for excellent customer service and being so good at what they do. I’ll definitely come back for leisure rather than business.

Great location, and the rooms are spacious and warm. I was on the 6th floor, so getting down could take a while while waiting for the lifts. I prefer the 1st floor, but that’s nobody’s fault. The staff were lovely and held my bags for the afternoon until I caught my train home.

We hadn’t been here for ten years, and it was so good to return. The spaces have been renovated, but the familiar comfort is still there. Staff at reception, the bar and restaurant all did a wonderful job. I didn’t catch their names, but they were all great. When I found that our hairdryer wasn’t working, I took it to reception while a staff member was helping guests check in. Less than five minutes later, she knocked on our door with another one. The beds were comfortable, and the shower worked, though the water was a little weak and it squealed. I love a cooked English breakfast, and Premier Inn does it so well. Breakfast was hearty and filling, and we also had dinner there on two nights. Everything was delicious, especially the Makhani Chicken. A small breakfast tip: if you’ve prebooked and have a non-'western' name, give both your room number and full name, not just your last name. They couldn’t find our booking at first because our middle name had become our last name.

The restaurant food came out quickly and was delicious. My daughter really liked it. We stayed overnight because she had an early hospital appointment, and Ella looked after us throughout the night. Even when she seemed rushed off her feet, she was smiling and happy. My daughter said, “She was very kind and helpful. When we checked in she was very welcoming. I can’t wait to come back.” We’ll be staying here again next week for another appointment. Thanks, Ella, for being so kind and bubbly.

The room was clean and tidy, and the location was okay. The shower’s hot water worked fine in the morning, but the sink’s hot water didn’t, which seemed unusual. For breakfast you have to walk across the car park, which is fine if you want a buffet. At 9 o’clock, though, most of the food was gone even though there weren’t many people there. I asked for poached eggs, and they made them fresh for me. They were lovely. I was in room 26, and I wouldn’t accept that room again. It’s right by reception and next to a door that kept slamming pretty much all night, especially from 5 o’clock in the morning. The team’s room is opposite, and I could hear them chatting about the night before. I asked to move but was told the hotel was fully booked.
