St Martins Lodge

The rooms are gorgeous, and this is my go-to whenever I’m in Leicester. I’ve stayed three times now, and each visit has been brilliant, even though I rarely review after just one experience. The building is old, so I understand air conditioning might not be possible, but the rooms do get hot. It’s in the heart of the city, yet incredibly quiet despite being close to the centre.

The green light from the fire alarm kept shining overnight, bouncing off the mirror and making it hard to sleep. If that gets sorted, I’d happily come back. St Martins Lodge is lovely, and the room was clean, quiet and spacious, with nice little touches like tea and coffee. One of the nicest places I’ve stayed in ages.

We’ve stayed here twice now and would come back without hesitation. The staff are lovely and accommodating, and the rooms feel luxurious and are spotless. The shower had great pressure and temperature, the bed was comfortable, and there’s a coffee machine too. For central Leicester, the price is very good, especially with free parking. I’d recommend booking.

Just a short walk from the town centre, and the place was warm, spotless and smelled lovely. It had everything I needed. I’d definitely recommend it and will be back.
