The Ballymac Hotel

We ordered two roasts, one turkey and ham and the other beef. The beef was so tough and dry my husband nearly choked on it. Even the dessert and the kids' ice cream weren't taken off the bill. Very poor customer service, especially after we told staff twice. We won't be back.

The room was very comfortable for what I paid, though it was fairly close to the hotel boiler. The staff were pleasant and helpful, and the food at the pub downstairs was good. I'd recommend it.

The place was spotless and the food was fabulous. All the staff had such a lovely personality, and were really friendly and helpful.

The venue itself was great, and I still had a lovely day with family and friends at the wedding. The food was okay, but the service from the waiters and bar staff was the worst I've ever seen. We asked for a gravy bowl because none came to our table, and we're still waiting for it. Someone else was waiting for cranberry sauce until the rest of the table had finished, then another guest went into the kitchen and got it themselves. The bar staff were asked four times to take a drinks order for the top table. They finally did, half an hour later, and it was still overpriced. They also started clearing the buffet while people were still eating. And the in-house DJ's playlist was one my child could have picked better.
