The clean shower and bathroom, comfortable bed, and okay coffee were much like what I'd expect in a standard room. Breakfast had an okay selection. The premium room itself was roomy, but the carpet, bedframe, and curtains were stained and due for an update, and the towels had black marks. Its little fridge only held a couple of cans and a pint of milk, and didn't keep them cold enough. We'd booked the premium option for a fridge, coffee machine, larger room with a view, and breakfast. The room was on the top floor overlooking the main road. Even if the view had been nice, the window was only about 3ftx4ft, very small for that room. The lift was out of order, so there was constant stair climbing and noise from other people using them. The Nespresso machine came with only two pods. We asked for more each day of our three-day stay, but were told they'd run out. With an industrial park just across the road, they really shouldn't be running out of basics they'd advertised as included.

Becky was fantastic at breakfast, welcoming us and making the whole meal a really good experience. She was lovely to chat with and kept everything running smoothly. The room was nice and clean, and the staff had been pleasant and welcoming when we arrived.

We took the full meal package, though the evening meal wasn't up to much. Breakfast was just what we needed to get ready for the day. I wouldn't choose the evening meal again, though perhaps the local choices were part of the problem and weren't good enough. The rooms were in really good condition, and the staff were extremely helpful.

Becks made our visit magical. My kids adored her, and she kept topping up their apple juice and pancakes. She also gave us great suggestions for places to go with the children. Visiting from up north, I felt so comfortable thanks to her going above and beyond. She's working with one arm and didn't complain once, what a woman. She was a breath of fresh air, and made the visit 100% better. I'll absolutely come back to see her lovely face again.
