Aloft Liverpool

The staff were the best, and the building was beautiful. Our room was a great size and had good facilities. The shower drain was blocked, though, so water leaked into the toilet area. The shower door didn’t seal, and the bottom of the shower wasn’t very clean.

The room was clean, comfortable and surprisingly spacious. The hotel felt modern, and we had a great stay while visiting for Liverpool football matches. Its city-centre location made getting around and catching the bus to the match easy. The staff were friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Kuby at reception, who kindly got us plates and cutlery when we came back late after a night out. We’d definitely stay again, highly recommended.

Dave and Kuby made us feel at home, and their kindness really stood out. We had a fantastic stay with a few friends at Aloft Liverpool and will definitely come back next time we’re in Liverpool. We checked in a bit late, and the kitchen had already closed for the night, so hot breakfast wasn’t available. Receptionist Dave understood and offered us a refund because of that. The continental breakfast was still a nice touch, and the staff made sure we were comfortable and looked after. Thanks, Dave and Kuby, for making the stay so memorable.

The building was gorgeous and the check-in staff were friendly, but the stay was disappointing. I’m Marriott Titanium, so I expected the best room in the class we’d booked. We didn’t get it, and I assumed the hotel was full. It wasn’t, there were only six other tables at breakfast. Our room was very dark, with a tiny attic window. One bedside light didn’t work, the bathroom paint was scuffed, and the light switch was on the far side of the room from the bathroom door. The shower door wouldn’t stay shut, so I had to hold it closed with my foot and water leaked onto the floor. Breakfast was mediocre too. The eggs seemed cheap, and the coffee machine made cold drinks with frothy milk, so I had to settle for black coffee. I told a staff member, but they did nothing. Great location, but a very average stay for one night.
