The accessible bathroom was excellent and easy to use, and the room was comfortable with everything working properly. The floor was very cold, though, so bring flip-flops. The room was a little dusty, probably because the windows can’t be opened. After a bad Airbnb experience, we picked the Atlantic Tower Hotel in Liverpool and had a wonderful stay. I booked an accessible room, and the staff were amazing, friendly, helpful, and genuinely accommodating with my wheelchair. They even helped my friend set up a birthday cake for me, which made the visit extra special. It’s close to the waterfront and easy to reach lots of attractions, transport, shops, and restaurants. The team gave us great recommendations and took time to ask what we’d done or planned that day, which made things feel personal. I’d definitely recommend the Atlantic Tower Hotel, especially for its accessibility and friendly staff.

Friday night was extremely loud, and we could hear everything from both rooms beside ours through the paper thin walls. Our neighbours were noisy and seemed unaware of anyone else, even at 12am. Thursday, by comparison, was peaceful. Something to bear in mind when booking. The location was good and the view lovely, and the shower was good too. The spring mattress could have been more comfortable, especially for a privilege room. I was worried when we arrived because the outside looks really run down and needs work, while the inside is standard. The receptionists were friendly and helpful, and since our room was ready, we checked in early at no charge.

If all you need is somewhere to sleep and have breakfast, it’s fine. The location is ideal, and the breakfast was good. The room was basic, but clean, so housekeeping gets a thumbs up. The whole hotel felt cold and pretty tired, and it needs updating. We should also give the school group who stayed on Friday night some credit. The pupils were polite and well behaved, even when their teachers weren’t around. Well done to them and their teachers. We could have had an amazing view of the Liverpool building and the mersey, but condensation covered the glazing so badly we couldn’t see out. Just back from the weekend.

I’m changing my positive review because both stays have been unacceptably noisy. There were doors slamming, TVs, music and guests shouting. On my first visit, staff moved me to a lovely quiet room. This time they assured me I’d been given a quiet room, but the whole 9th floor sounded like student halls. I’d offered to pay for an upgrade and was told it wouldn’t be needed. I don’t know what that was about. My room had a badly broken table that sent wine and tea over my clothes, and there were loud fire doors in the corridor as well as noisy TVs and room doors. Asking to move again was a hassle I shouldn’t have had to deal with. The replacement room had a nice view and was better, but still noisy. The old heater/AC didn’t work properly, and the room wasn’t made up as requested for night two. If this is normal for Atlantic Tower, I won’t be able to stay again. I used to love the mid century modern architecture that looks like an ocean liner, the views of the Liver Building, and being close to the city centre and docks. On that visit, Kike and her colleagues at Reception went out of their way to move me to a quiet room, and the staff really cared about my stay. The beds were clean and comfortable. I’d said I was definitely staying again.

We paid £43 for the room only offer, which was fantastic, but skipped breakfast at £16 each. There are lots of nearby cafes for breakfast, including greggs. Parking close by was really handy, though £14 for 24 hours felt steep; £10 would have been more reasonable. The place is starting to show its age, but it’s still very high quality. The location is perfect.
