The room itself was basic but okay, nothing special. It had no windows, and by that point the stay already felt ruined. There’s a pub directly underneath with very loud live music, and we couldn’t rest properly. We wish we’d been told about it in advance. If the hotel can’t control the noise, the least it could do is give guests a fair warning. At night, reception staff were playing loud videos, talking, and laughing. The pub music was already shaking the walls, so this made things worse. We didn’t complain only because another guest had done so just before us. The service felt very poor, as if they didn’t care. If you’re hoping to get some rest, avoid this place. The issue isn’t whether they can control street noise. Guests trust the hotel when choosing where to stay, and should be told there’s a loud pub below with live music until late. Staff should also stop talking and laughing loudly beside guest rooms in the middle of the night. Be honest and respectful, and think about the people who trusted you with their stay.

The room was basic for the price, and water leaked through the ceiling onto my head when I sat on the bunk bed, which was the only place to sit. It seems ideal for six people at that price, but not for two.

The room was big and had AC, plus everything I needed, including complimentary coffee, hot chocolate, and biscuits. It’s a good spot for a short stay. There’s no elevator or anyone to help with luggage, though, which is especially inconvenient if your room is on a higher floor.

When I called on the day I was due to stay, I was told my booking had been cancelled. I hadn’t received an email, and there was no refund. Absolutely appalling.

I stayed on my own while attending a course outside Liverpool, and the hotel was perfect for that. It’s in a really convenient spot beside both train stations. There was some noise, as you’d expect in such a central area, but headphones made it a non-issue. The rooms were comfortable and nicely finished, and it was excellent value. I asked to change rooms because of the noise and there was no problem. Conor and Ben at the front desk were both really lovely and helpful. I’ll stay again.
