Epic Aparthotel on Seel Street

We booked the epic penthouse for nine people for my bestie’s hen party, and had such a good time. The apartments were modern, clean, spacious and really central. The epic team were great and helped us with the booking.

The studio was clean and comfortable, and being right beside Liverpool central made getting around very convenient. Reception were friendly too. A pleasant stay.

I left before the night was over, after just one night here. The photos online give a very different impression from what you actually find. The rooms were worn and torn, the bedding was stained, and there was an off-putting damp smell, possibly coming from the curtains. The bathroom was dirty when I arrived, and another guest’s boots had been left on the floor. The water system went down about five minutes after I got there. It was fixed later, but still a hassle. There was a constant ringing noise when I tried to sleep, so I got no rest before an important day. The poor ventilation and general lack of cleanliness also left my skin feeling very itchy. I’d call this one star at most, definitely not four. I don’t understand charging a security deposit when the apartments themselves need upgrading. Do better!

The location is the only real plus, though it gets very loud outside in the early hours and the insulation is poor. We stayed two nights, and there was an awful smell throughout. Cleanliness didn’t seem to be a priority, and the bed was uncomfortable, with what seemed like a very old mattress. The epic team were hard to reach and quite rude when we did get through. Online pictures look good, but the place is a bit worn in reality. We stay in liverpool a lot, and there are plenty of better options for less money.
