St George's Hotel

The restaurant and lounge were a highlight, with great service and lovely views of the sea, pier, promenade, and Orme. Staff were cheerful and welcoming, and the hotel was quiet and nicely furnished. My room was spotless, spacious, and very reasonably priced, with a big comfortable bed. A tasty full English was included too. I only stayed one night and wished I’d booked longer. I’ll definitely be back. No complaints at all.

Breakfast and the dinners on the other nights were tremendous, with good service and plenty of choice. The hotel and staff were lovely, and the location is exactly where you want it, beside the beach, shops, and promenade. It was our first time in Llandudno, and we’ll definitely return. There were two letdowns during our three-night Christmas break. The afternoon tea that came with the package was disappointing after a four-and-a-half-hour drive: tea and coffee came from flasks, and there were cakes but no sandwiches or savoury items. Christmas Day service was very slow, and the lunch was bland and not an exciting festive meal. The crackers didn’t bang, so they seemed pointless. Those were the only downsides, but Christmas lunch needs a few tweaks. Would I come again? Definitely.

The location is brilliant, and I had a lovely room and a great breakfast. The staff were fabulous too. The young woman at reception who checked me in on Friday 20th February was especially helpful.

We parked the car and walked everywhere, from the shops and the many local places to eat to the Great Orme. The location made that easy, with everything just a few minutes away. In the evening we walked along the promenade and fell asleep to the sound of the sea. Our room was lovely, the bed was comfortable, and the sea and mountain views were stunning. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
