There are plenty of places to stay in Llandudno, and I've had a better experience for the same money elsewhere. This one was dated, the breakfast was okay, and waiting ten minutes for toast because of the toasters was ridiculous. The lift seemed to be the only modern thing, and it even tells you the weather. The chap who greeted us and worked at the bar was decent, though. The main problem was that we had no hot water at all when we tried to shower. We'd checked in at 2:30 p.m., gone out for a lovely day around Llandudno, then got back around midnight. After coffee and a chat, we went to get ready for Valentine's Day, but there was no hot water. My girlfriend was furious, and the receptionist just said there was nothing he could do, which made things worse. Neither of us slept much. She packed up and left on the first train that morning. I ran to the station like an idiot to try to salvage Valentine's Day, then had breakfast alone, packed, and checked out without staying the rest of the time. Only after she was gone did someone ask if I wanted another room. By then I said there was no point. It seemed the message hadn't been passed on and nobody acted. I called the hotel to see if they wanted to say anything. They apologized, but said they'd have to speak to the boss and couldn't comment, so nothing was resolved. I had also emailed 24 hours earlier and got no reply. Much love to everyone, and I hope this helps if you're planning a trip.

The place was spotless and breakfast was plentiful and great. But with the water pressure practically nonexistent, don't count on being able to shower or wash properly. The man at reception was miserable and didn't even say good morning.

We've made this our stay for the town event for three years running, and we'll come back again. It's very good value, the breakfast is great, and the couple who own the place are lovely. The staff in general are lovely too.

The traditional breakfast was fantastic, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. The rooms were spotless, though very dated. A bit of a makeover and I'd definitely come back.
