It's quite a walk from here to the pier, and the hotel is near the paddling pool. There's a good fish and chip shop five minutes away. The place has an old-world feel, like stepping back in time. Andrew was very friendly and welcoming, and Mel brought breakfast with help from a marvelous dumb waiter. The bathroom was clean and lovely, the shower was brilliant, and clean towels were available whenever you wanted. The bed felt a little low to me, though that's personal preference. Tea-making things and top-ups were freely available.

Breakfast was easy to pre-order and arrived really fresh. The hosts were very friendly, and it was great value for money. I liked being away from the usual crowds, with a pleasant walk to the pier when the weather allowed. The room felt old fashioned, though, and the bed squeaked; the mattress was a bit hard as well. The outside of the window was dirty, which took a little away from the lovely view. I'd still come back. Many thanks 😊

The bedroom and ensuite were clean, and I got a friendly welcome. The style is old fashioned, though the hotel was full midweek. The bed dipped in the middle and wasn't comfortable. Breakfast began at 8:30, too late for me. It's almost at the far end of the promenade, so with luggage you'd need a taxi from the station, or face a long walk.

The place felt old fashioned, and there was a smell as soon as I stepped into reception.

We had a good view from our sea-view room. It was a bit dated, but very clean. The staff, especially Mel, were excellent and did everything they could for my husband and me.
