I stayed alone for four days in January 2026 and had no problems. The bed was really nice, with a box-spring mattress, heavy blanket and sturdy pillows. Reception is staffed 24/7, and the people there are kind. You get your own key to come and go. Paddington station is very close, with shops, restaurants and pubs nearby for the evening. It’s a simple hotel, but it worked perfectly for me. The building is old, so I could hear the people upstairs and doors around me, though it wasn’t too bad and even felt charming. I’d recommend it and would stay again. And, by the way, no bedbugs during my four nights.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and very affordable. I also appreciated getting a free upgrade. The staff were lovely and helpful, and I felt comfortable throughout my stay as a young woman travelling solo. Restaurants and Paddington station are nearby. I’d highly recommend it to anyone passing through London.

The rooms were exceptionally clean, with new bathrooms, and the staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. It’s less than a five-minute walk from Paddington station, in a fantastic location. The exterior has that quintessential London look. Highly recommend!

There’s no lift, and it’s an old Victorian house with lots of stairs. My room was on the top floor in what felt like the attic, and I had about five flights to climb. The room was as expected, small but reasonable for one traveller. I booked a double, but it’s a small double, so keep that in mind. It was ensuite, with the bathroom radiator, a small TV and amenities in the room.

The staff were always friendly and helpful, and Bhatti was especially kind and welcoming. He really made us feel at home, and I’m grateful for his hospitality. We had an excellent stay at the Albro House Hotel. Our room was clean, comfortable and well maintained, and the service was outstanding. We’d definitely stay again and highly recommend it.
