The apartment was spacious, and having a fully equipped kitchen was handy for cooking. It’s also in a convenient spot near places like the British Museum and St Paul's cathedral. But I wouldn’t recommend staying here after everything we dealt with. Getting in was stressful after a long flight. All the instructions came by email, and the first check-in message talked about a “digital key” that never worked. On arrival we were told to use a physical key from a lockbox beside the door. The passcode was explained in a confusing way, and nobody was there to help us. There’s no onsite staff, and email was the only way to reach anyone. Most replies came in good time, but a few times we waited over eight hours and had to follow up. It was frustrating not to have a real person to talk to about these problems. The heat never worked. We were there in early October, so the weather was still mild, but this would be a problem in winter. The shower drained very slowly, leaving dirty water to collect while we used it. Staff came once after we emailed, but the problem wasn’t fixed. We also ran out of toilet tissue on the first night and were told to buy our own because it’s a self-served apartment. One night, about a dozen people were shouting at each other below our window. I don’t know who they were or what was going on. There’s no AC, and no elevator. The staircase is very narrow, though with just carry-ons and a backpack that wasn’t a big issue for us.
