Best Western Northfields Ealing Hotel

Anil, the duty Manager, was polite, welcoming and helpful, and was happy to approve my request for a later check-out. The room had the basic amenities I expected, including toiletries, a hairdryer, TV with local channels, and AC / Heater. It was clean and functional, with a cosy, comfortable bed. The air conditioning was rather noisy at night, though, and the soundproofing was only mediocre, which affected my sleep. Breakfast was a standard continental spread with boiled eggs, not much to say about it. Guests get 10% off meals at RARA grill Restaurant. For the price, this is a good choice for a London visit, especially with the train station nearby. I’d stay again.

On this visit, we arrived early just to leave our bags, but they offered free early check-in instead. I’ve stayed several times and the rooms have always been spotless, with enough space. The queen-size beds are comfortable, the mattresses are good and the sheets are soft cotton. There are complimentary pillows, a kettle with tea and coffee, hair dryer and a 40ish inch TV, and the Wi-Fi is fast and reliable. The location opposite Piccadilly's Northfield underground station makes both the Heathrow journey and getting into London very convenient. I couldn’t have breakfast this time because of strict dietary restrictions, but on my previous visit it was a full English buffet with cereals, fruit and yogurt, and the staff were very friendly. Good value, with staff who care about customers. Very recommendable.

The rooms are very large and comfortable, and the staff are friendly. Breakfast is served in the restaurant next door. You can hear the underground through the thin windows, but it didn’t bother us, especially with another Piccadilly station less than two minutes away.

I reported the problem promptly and sent documentation. The hotel later said an inspection found no evidence, but the insect bites were real, documented, and happened only in connection with this stay. What made the experience worse was the complete lack of follow-up. I contacted the hotel and Best Western customer service several times, including again on 7 December and 21 December 2024, and never received a reply. I stayed at Best Western Ealing, Northfields from 8-11 November 2024 and had multiple insect bites during and immediately after the visit. That was very unpleasant on its own. I’ve travelled extensively and have never had customer service this poor, especially around a potential health issue. Ignoring guests instead of addressing their concerns is unacceptable. I won’t stay at this hotel again and will avoid Best Western in future.
