Dover Hotel

Victoria Station is right nearby, and Buckingham Palace is within walking distance, so it's a handy base for exploring London. The hotel was very clean, warm, and comfortable, with hot water whenever needed. Even in such a central spot, the area was quiet and felt safe, making it easy to sleep and rest. Reception staff were professional, friendly, and very helpful. Good value for money, and I'd definitely stay again.

The bathroom fittings were modern, and the place was nice, lively, and clean. Breakfast was adequate for what we needed. There are quite a lot of stairs depending on your floor, but two pensioners managed them fine. I'd stay again when visiting Victoria.

The location is really handy, with the train station a five-minute walk away and Big Ben about 20 minutes from there. The area felt safe, the staff were friendly, and the place was clean. Rooms aren't especially small, and breakfast was good enough to save us buying it elsewhere.

At £90 walking in the door, I thought this was good value for such a clean, private, accessible room. My planned accommodation cancelled at midnight, and someone at the Dover Hotel was there after 1am to sort out a last-minute room. I got the ground floor, with just two steps to enter the building. The bed was comfortable, and the room smelled fresh and clean. Room 4 had a nice, private view, with no one else's window facing it. I could open the window all the way for a breeze, and the fan pointed at the bed was perfect for my August stay. The en-suite was new and very clean, though a little tight for very large guests, but still usable. There was a small desk and stool for my bags. I slept well and didn't get to use the TV, coffee, tea, snacks, or other offered amenities. I'd definitely stay a few nights again.
