Holiday Inn Express London - Wandsworth

We had lasagne in the restaurant for £16 each, but it was the size of a £3 ready meal from Sainsbury's and wasn't hot in the middle. The place was nearly empty, with just one other table occupied by people having drinks. I'd suggest lowering the food prices. The hotel itself is set back from the main road. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There was a lot of noise from other guests from 5.30am, though that's not the hotel's fault.

We picked this for a family trip with two adults and two children, and the location was great for quick trains to London Waterloo from Wandsworth Town station. We stayed three nights. Check-in was smooth, and the staff noticed our IHG membership and offered late checkout. Parking through YourParkingSpace was reasonably priced, but we booked ahead and got the last spot, so I'm not sure what we'd have done if it had been full. The family room had good space and was comfortable overall, though the sofa bed was too soft. The A/C wasn't working, but they provided a movable heater we didn't need. The shower drain was very slow. We reported it after the first night, but it wasn't fixed, and staff on later shifts seemed unaware, possibly because the hotel was full. After housekeeping on day two, there were only two towel sets instead of four. We had to go to reception because the QR code contact option was complicated. Breakfast was standard and okay, but very busy, as we'd been warned. Good value if you can overlook the glitches. I'd return for the location.

The room was spotless and breakfast was excellent. It's a bit of a trip to the tourist areas, but we got around by tube and train. Most of the staff were AMAZING and did everything they could for us, from the front desk to the kitchen. One evening staff member wasn't very friendly and refused to give us extra pillows, though.

I gave up on breakfast and went to another hotel with a fuller selection. I don't eat sausage, and without eggs the food felt too dry. I suggested they could at least get cheese instead. I had put bacon on my plate, then couldn't find any eggs, so I left the plate on the table. An employee asked why I'd taken bacon if I wasn't going to eat it. When I asked whether eggs might arrive in the next ten days, he said there wouldn't be any until the supplier delivered. Breakfast was bad.
