The Hotel Hoppa serves the hotel well, with its timetable posted at reception. It also accepts mail and parcels and keeps them until you arrive. There are a few places to eat within a 15-minute walk, including Portuguese, Indian and pizza options, alongside the hotel's own restaurants. Our room was a decent size, with a comfortable bed, a clean bathroom, plenty of toiletries, big soft towels, a small fridge, and some tea and instant coffee. The lobby was busy when we arrived, but five client service officers were working and check-in was quick. If you can get a north-facing room, there's almost no aircraft noise. A good option near LHR.

We missed our connection at LHR and needed somewhere for the night, so picked this Hyatt Place about a mile from the airport. The onsite restaurant was really tasty, and the staff were friendly, experienced, and great with tired travelers. We were glad we chose it and enjoyed our short stay. The black cab from Terminal 3 took under 10 minutes and cost less than £15, which felt worth it with more than six large checked bags for four of us. One tip: avoid the twin beds. Our kids kept rolling into the gap between the two beds pushed together.

The only snag was the Hotel Hoppa bus from LHR. It costs £6.80/$8.98 one way, and it was more than 30 minutes late leaving the airport. It did arrive on time for the trip from the hotel back to LHR, but bear the delay in mind if you're on a tight schedule. The hotel itself was a great layover stop: despite being next to the airport, there was no airport noise at all. The bed was very comfortable, and robes and slippers were provided. Breakfast had lots to choose from, including vegetarian breakfast “meat.” A relaxing night between two hectic travel days.

They even arranged a quick snow shower as we were leaving, probably the only snow we'll see all year as we're from Texas. We had left our bags with the staff before going to Dublin for five days, and everything was there when we returned, so that was stress-free. The bar and breakfast area was relaxed and handy for a drink or a bite. Check-in was friendly and quick after a long travel day, and the hotel was clean and easy to reach from the airport. Our room felt fresh, the beds were comfortable, and the pillows were surprisingly good. We're fussy about pillows, so we noticed.

The breakfast was good, with a great choice of freshly cooked hot food, cold items, and fresh tea and coffee. The room was clean and nice too. Another great stay, as usual. They make things easy for guests, which takes a lot of the stress out of it. Recommended.
