One Harrington Gardens

We’ll definitely stay again if we come back to London, and I highly recommend it. This was our second visit to The Harrington, and by coincidence we had the same apartment as three years ago. The apartment was spotless and serviced every day, with everything we needed. Restaurants and pubs surround it, and the Underground is about 150 metres away. Facilities, staff and service were excellent, just as they had been on our first stay.

I live locally, and the hotel guests using the entrance through my pilates studio during construction have been rude. They walk into people, then complain that they weren't allowed to go first. There’s no regard for personal space or basic etiquette. They need to show more respect for the neighbourhood.

The 24/7 front desk mattered to us, and the location was great. We spent 10 nights in these serviced apartments and found the rooms comfortable, clean, tidy, and well maintained. All the hotel staff were attentive and very friendly. Thanks, Harrington!

We found the four-night stay at The Harrington Hotel deeply disappointing. Our main door had an inside lock that we couldn't use, which felt like a serious safety concern. We reported it, were told someone would check and fix it the next day, and then nobody acted or followed up. The air conditioning in one bedroom was also broken. The front desk said a technician would come the following day, but no one showed up. We had to sleep with the window open and couldn't control the temperature. The windows wouldn't close properly either, leaving a visible gap between the glass and frame. Street traffic and people talking came through clearly all night, making it hard to sleep. The bathroom had only a rain shower, with very low pressure and no handheld shower, which was difficult for children and older guests. The toilet's height and design weren't suitable for children. Housekeeping was another problem. We left at 8 AM with the "Make Up Room" sign on the door, but at 2 PM the room hadn't been cleaned. The housekeeper said it had already been serviced. We showed reception a photo and asked if that was the hotel's housekeeping standard. They only agreed to send someone to clean properly after we insisted. During all four nights, the sheets and pillowcases were never changed. Our child has a dust mite allergy and woke each morning with itchy, irritated skin, so we were very concerned about hygiene and room maintenance. The staff were unfriendly and inattentive from check-in through check-out. We never felt welcomed, valued, or properly helped. The advertised "2-bedroom apartment" was said to suit four adults, but one bed was only 4 feet wide, much smaller than a standard double and unsuitable for two adults. The layout didn't match the stated capacity. Google lists this as a 4-star property, but the outdated facilities and lack of basic hospitality made it feel more like a hostel. We had an unsatisfactory stay and would strongly advise others, especially families or anyone looking for a safe, clean, professionally managed place, to avoid it.
