After 40 years of staying in hotels around the world, SC is the place I’m most drawn back to. My wife and I plan to stay at least once every year. The design, location, atmosphere, and ambience are all part of what makes it incredible. It’s a great place to dine, have a drink, and get a good night’s sleep. The staff are its greatest asset by far. They’re professional, friendly, and attentive to detail, and clearly well trained and happy. The senior leadership team deserves credit for that too, since they must show those same qualities.

The location at Sea Containers is wonderful. Black Friars rail is just across the bridge, Waterloo rail is half a mile away, and we could walk to St Paul's cathedral, Borough Market, and the London Eye. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with daily turndown service. The staff were friendly, helpful, and personable. We had dinner at the restaurant twice and enjoyed delicious food at prices comparable to other nearby restaurants. The Sky Bar and ground floor bars were great too. We had an amazing stay, and I highly recommend Sea Containers when visiting London.

Spacious rooms, a clean environment, and professional staff make this hotel a winner for me. It’s conveniently close to the train station without being noisy. There’s also a restaurant and bar on site, with cocktails for non-drinkers like me. I’d recommend it 100 percent.

The Thames is right outside, and landmarks like Tate Modern and the London Eye are nearby, so Sea Containers London has a great spot on the lively South Bank. The nautical decor, inspired by naval ships, gives the hotel a distinct feel as soon as you walk in. Rooms are comfortable, with premium bedding, air conditioning, and bathrobes. The gym is open 24/7 and breakfast doesn’t disappoint. Staff are friendly and efficient, and go above and beyond to make the stay enjoyable. A good choice for a comfortable stay in central London.

For New Year’s Eve, my wife and I booked a room with a fireworks view. It cost a bit, but honestly the experience was fantastic. The hotel is beautiful, the room was fine, and the fireworks view was even better than we expected. We’d pre-booked the restaurant, and the food was absolutely top notch. I was a little disappointed by the set menu for New Year’s, though I understand why they do it. Maybe there’ll be a few more choices next year. We had cocktails at the bar, which felt classy and had a great atmosphere, then went up to the rooftop bar for the NYE party, where music and drinks cost extra. At 11:45 we went back to our room for the fireworks and found a box of hotel chocolate chocolates, a bottle of champagne, and canapés waiting for us. A perfect way to see in the new year. I’d highly recommend it. It isn’t cheap, but it’s a once in a lifetime experience.
