The Bloomsbury Hotel

The late shift were amazing, though I can't say the same for the reception service from Channon on the day shift. It felt cold and as if simple requests were an inconvenience. Our rooms were clean and nice, and having them close together helped since we were with family in February. The hotel itself is beautiful and in a great location, with lots to do nearby and a museum just down the street. The bar and bartenders were wonderful.

The breakfast team made our mornings: Maria, Estelita, Tania, Faye, Lyuba, Mohammed, Lazlo, Gabriela and Mary greeted us with real warmth every day and gave attentive, cheerful service. Suhaina at reception also deserves a special thanks for her patience, efficiency, kindness, and help with every situation. She made everything feel easy. The Bloomsbury has beautiful surroundings and a lovely mix of elegance and warmth. It's ideally placed for seeing London, while still feeling like a peaceful retreat. We'd return without hesitation.

I stayed here for the first time a few years ago, so I knew what to expect, and this visit at the beginning of February lived up to it. Reception, service, and housekeeping were all handled so well. The room was spotless and the bed incredibly comfortable. At breakfast, the lady remembered us by name each morning and had kept track of the allergies. That thoughtful care really impressed me. I'd absolutely recommend the hotel, and we'll come back on our next London visit.

We booked at the last minute for a Saturday night out, and The Bloomsbury delivered the five-star stay we wanted. The room was lovely, with a bath, a very comfortable bed and pillow, and turn-down service. The décor has a tasteful, slightly moody 1920s gin palace feel, and the entrance is discreet. Staff were attentive and pleasant. The location is fantastic for theatreland, Chinatown, Leicester Square, and Soho, but it sits just outside the busiest parts. We enjoyed the bars, though my Coral Room cocktail came with prosecco instead of the advertised 'English sparkling '. The lower-ground club was a bonus, with a live jazz trio, and it was so convenient to head straight back to our room afterward. Service in that bar was excellent. A wonderful stay, and we hope to return.
