Thistle London Hyde Park Kensington Gardens

The rooms were clean, fairly modern and a decent size, especially by London standards. We also had breakfast at the hotel and thought it was very good. It’s a solid choice in a pleasant part of London, around a 15-minute walk from Paddington. Nothing to complain about. We’ll probably come back next time we’re in London.

We’d planned to spend a couple of days in the Capitol for the first time. The hotel is in an excellent spot, close to restaurants, shops, underground stations and just about everything else. The staff at Thistle Hotel Hyde Park were excellent, and nothing we asked for was too much. Breakfast at the onsite restaurant was lovely, with a wide variety of food. The rooms were comfortable and everything worked as expected, though they were only adequate overall. There was very little hanging cupboard space and no drawers.

The staff are the best thing about this hotel. Farhan and Jo at reception made my early check-in smooth, Sarika and Nitin happily served breakfast, and Thomas Kutty helped with storing my luggage and checking out. I’m very thankful to them. The hotel is in a very convenient location, with good rooms and a view of Kensington Garden. Staff are efficient, helpful and friendly.

We stayed for nine nights and liked the location. Hyde Park is right opposite, so I made it part of my daily walk. We tried a few restaurants near queensbay underground, but ended up having dinner here instead. The food was good quality and good value, and the restaurant and counter staff were welcoming. Thanks.
