The location was great, and the staff were friendly and very professional. Getting checked in was quick and easy. The room and bedsheets were clean, but the TV screen was cracked. The bathroom was tiny, and the soap dispenser by the sink was nearly empty. There was also a strange smell on the fourth-floor landing, coming from the laundry room, and the towels had the same smell.

The room was comfortable and had most of what I needed. It was as advertised, with a comfortable bed and furnishings that suited me as someone travelling alone for work and research. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner. I stayed for three nights, from the 18th to the 20th of February, at this budget-friendly hotel and felt very welcome. Samantha checked me in and was courteous and helpful, including with directions and suggestions for good, affordable places to eat. She also made sure I knew the staff were available if I needed anything. Asmita, the Manager, and Nilza were friendly and accommodating too. It was nice to see the Managers looking out for staff and wanting customers to be satisfied. Thanks again to everyone. I’d definitely come back if I’m in this part of London again. Please note, I’ve posted this same review on Tripadvisor.

The bus stop right beside the hotel made it easy to get to Battersea high street, power station and Victoria station. Parking cost 11 for 24 hours from the time of payment, and we could leave the car in the car park after checking out as long as we were still within that 24-hour period. Clean and comfortable, and just what we needed for one night.

The room was disappointing. It smelled strongly of damp, the USB plugs beside the bed didn’t work, and with no net curtains on the ground floor, I had to keep the curtains shut for privacy. I’ve stayed in more than 40 different Travelodges around the UK, and this was my first negative stay. As a base for exploring London, though, it’s handy, about a 15-minute walk from Clapham Junction.

It was really quiet and I slept well. The location is ideal for getting into Central London, with bus stops outside and Clapham Junction less than a 10-minute walk away. Paying extra for early check-in was worth it, and I got a lovely room. Two things could be better: there should be blinds or voiles, since nearby apartments can see in when the curtains are open, and there was only one plug socket.
