Shoreditch Inn

Our room was a little small, but clean and just right for a weekend of sightseeing. The location made it easy to reach the centre, bus stations, and tourist areas. The staff were really kind, and reception was open 0-24. Breakfast was good too. We didn't end up using our coupons for the English breakfast because the smaller option was enough for us, and they refunded the amount without any trouble.

The location is great, about a 10 Min walk from Old Street. The room was another story: I've been bitten 4 times, most likely by bedbugs. Service wasn't great either. The front desk guy was polite enough, but insisted on seeing ID, which hasn't been required at other hotels I've stayed in. He also couldn't provide an invoice, something other hotels have had no problem doing. It's super cheap, but if you can, it's worth paying the extra £40 for something better.

I liked the neighborhood, and it wasn't too busy yet. The rooms were clean, with fresh towels every day, and we had a great stay. But breakfast was hard to watch. The cook was yelling at an employee and kept saying she couldn't do anything. I barely held myself back from speaking up because I was in another country, but I still regret not standing up for her. Treat your staff well!

Unexpectedly located, this is a really nice hotel, small, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was vegetarian and freshly prepared. I especially liked the bowl of nuts that came with it.
