The accessible twin room was perfect for our needs during our two-night stay. I travelled down from Leeds for my niece’s wedding and booked it because my sister is disabled. The staff were very nice and friendly. We took the pictures at the end of our stay, which is why the beds look scruffy.

My room was nice, clean and tidy, and the hotel is very close to the town centre, well-known coffee shops and restaurants. The reception staff were polite, friendly and helpful, and gave me what I needed to make tea in my room. The one thing I didn’t like was that there’s no communal area or café where you can sit for coffee or tea, heat food in a microwave, or just spend time outside your room.

I stayed one night between flights and was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the room was for the price. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Shops, cafés and a public transport stop are nearby, so it’s a convenient choice for a short stay.

I spent 10 nights here while working in Loughborough. The rooms are a bit tired but adequate, and given the cost I wasn’t expecting much more. Still, I was disappointed that my room wasn’t cleaned once during the whole stay. I asked twice and reception said it would be done, but I ended up going down to collect toilet roll and fresh towels myself.

The room was unbearably hot, even though I know it was a very hot weekend. Reception had air conditioning, but our room had only a fan and a window that barely opened. The mattress was even worse. It was discoloured, and springs were sticking through at the edges. It should have been thrown out years ago. Yuck! The staff didn’t seem to care. We arrived to find just one tea bag, and when we asked for more the next day, after hanging the sign on the door asking for things to be topped up, nothing had been replenished. The response was, “Oh yeah, that’s housekeeping.” There wasn’t even an apology, which should have been automatic.
