We chose the King William because it was a quick taxi or Uber ride from the airport and train stations. We were spending the weekend in London and wanted to stay near the airport in case anything came up back home. The staff were lovely and made us feel welcome, and the food was lovely too. I’d gladly book again. I’d made a complete mess of the booking through booking.com, arriving on the dates we intended but having booked a whole year too late, for 2026 instead of 2025. Thankfully, the hotel manager spotted the problem and sorted it within minutes of our arrival.

We went to the King William for lunch for my friend’s birthday and ordered a bottle of prosseco. We recognized the label as an Asda one, then saw £26 on the bill. My friend emailed the manager, who confirmed it was from Asda because they’d run out of their usual supply. The manager apologized and said they had to charge that much to cover overheads. It costs £6 in Asda, so charging £26 for a cheap bottle is disgusting. We won’t be visiting again.

I stayed for work and expect I’ll be back many times. It’s a good hotel if you want to stay outside Luton, with safe parking and a nice bar and restaurant where it’s easy to grab a beer and food. The pub is nice and quiet too. The walls are thin, though. Bring earplugs in case someone next door makes tea at 6am and spends a year stirring the cup.

The only snag was a small sink that clogged up. Otherwise, loved the stay: cosy, clean room, just the right size, a comfy bed, good bathroom and an easy check-in. Perfect for a night.

The rooms were grotty, tired and smelly, and the loud music carried on until after 11. I barely slept before my early flight. Wouldn’t recommend this at all for a pre-airport stay.
