It was cheap and handy for the airport, so I stayed the night before an early flight. But the worn mattress was awful, with pretty much every spring broken. There was a strange smell in both the bedroom and bathroom, the bath was filthy, and the room felt grubby. The hall carpets looked as if they hadn’t been cleaned in years. I wouldn’t recommend it or stay again.

The only thing that really brought my score down was the showers. I stayed four nights and changed rooms several times, and in some of them the water sprayed everywhere except onto you. It was funny chasing it around, but not much use if you want to relax. That needs fixing. Otherwise I liked the hotel and stayed for two consecutive weekends for privacy. The place was very clean, and the staff were kind and nice. During the day there were two girls, one funny and the other a little less so, but both professional. At night I chatted a bit with a very nice, kind woman. Parking was free and easy to access. I’d give it an 8 for the shower issue, otherwise it would be a 10.

We had a spacious, comfortable room and a large modern bathroom, but sleeping was difficult because there was no ventilation. The windows wouldn’t open, there was no air conditioning, and the fan stopped working in the middle of the night. In the morning, the bathroom had no hot water, although it had been working the night before. This hotel needs to do better.

The cold water pressure was so poor that the shower became dangerously hot, and we could barely use it. After a night with very little sleep, that was another nightmare. We won’t return. We’d rather stay at one of the windowless Easyhotel rooms down the road for half the price. They may have no windows, but the beds are comfortable and the showers don’t scald you. We’d just checked in when we found the bed was completely worn out, with springs pushing through the mattress and a broken divan base that sagged. Reception said the hotel knew some beds were broken and had ordered replacements, but they hadn’t arrived. They couldn’t move us because they were fully booked. We asked why they were still using the room if they knew about the bed, but the receptionist couldn’t answer. It’s a shame, because with decent beds the hotel could be quite pleasant. A proper bed is a basic requirement for us when staying before an early flight.
