The restaurant has a good, simple menu, and I recommend the curry. Isa, the barman, was especially helpful and friendly, giving us five-star treatment. Reception and restaurant staff were friendly too. Parking at night was easy, and we had a quiet night’s sleep. When I’m flying to and from Romania on business via Luton Airport, this is the only hotel I’ll use. Highly recommend OYO.

Staff were helpful and even let me check out an hour later, which I appreciated. The room was clean and comfortable, and the nearby local amenities were convenient. Parking is free, though the machine wasn’t working while I was there. I had a pleasant, easy stay at OYO Chiltern Hotel. A few things could be improved: the corridor carpet was dirty and stained, there was no bath mat, and I’d prefer soap dispensers to bar soap.

The deluxe room had a nice padded chair and a long table, plus a good air conditioning unit with both hot and cold settings. Towels were decent, but the shower gel container was so small that I had to go buy more. There were only three coat hangers for two people, and no bottled water for tea or coffee, though sachets, a kettle and two cups were provided. There was free parking, an impressive entrance and a large reception. Check-in went fine and staff were polite, but one lift was out of order and the hallway carpets looked dated. Only the lights by the door worked. There were no lamps or power and charging points by the bed, and the TV only had basic terrestrial channels. The small double bed barely gave two people room to turn over without risking a fall. When I asked how deluxe differed from standard, I was told it was room size, not the beds, and that they don’t have queen size. I hope they sort that out.

The food display was really inviting, and the meal was tasty. Compliments to the chefs. Mareen went above and beyond to organise a lovely evening and took care of every request. The tables were set nicely, and the staff were extremely polite and well mannered. There was plenty of parking, so getting there was easy and helped the evening run smoothly. This was our second time at the Chiltern event iftar buffet with the whole family, and my wife and I also go to the buffet regularly when we get the chance. We’re already looking forward to next year. Thank you, Mareen.

Hayley was the standout, she was lovely, and the staff were friendly overall. The hotel was clean and pleasant, and housekeeping had left a decorative towel on the bed and on the toilet roll, a nice touch. My room was decent, the bed was comfortable and I slept well. Traffic noise was a little annoying, though that isn’t the hotel’s fault. I stayed four nights in February and would stay again.
