Waking up to birds singing made the apartment feel especially peaceful. It was spotless, beautifully presented, and really comfortable. We loved the food too: both of us had steaks and then dessert, all cooked perfectly, and the Eggs Royale at breakfast were phenomenal. Lucy, Leah and Loretta put together a fantastic birthday stay for me and my husband. It was such a treat, and I’m grateful for all the effort that made my birthday feel special. Pranav, Osmar and Usama also looked after us with genuinely warm service. We loved our stay at The Olde Bell in Hurley and can’t recommend it enough for a special getaway. We can’t wait to return.

Breakfast had plenty of choice and was done to a great standard. My one suggestion would be to get rid of the coffee machine and have drinks served instead. The room was nice, though parts of the property are starting to need some TLC. It wasn't cleaned very well, as the photos show, and our room wasn't turned up during the stay. Those things might not matter much on their own, but they did leave it feeling a little short of great. The staff were friendly and polite, but the check-in team could use some guidance on the basics they need to explain, like the rules and breakfast times. Hurley is a lovely location, and you can walk straight down to the river for a really stunning route to Henley on Thames, around 10km each way. The stay was fairly nice. The Olde Bell isn't bad at all, and it's pretty. I would stay again, but the little details keep it from being great.

The rooms are roomy and very comfortable, cosy and well kept, although they could do with a little updating. I also appreciate having a large private car park. I keep enjoying my stays here when I'm travelling around the outskirts of London, Maidenhead or Marlow. The staff are exceptionally friendly and caring, which makes a real difference. Breakfast is very good, with buffet and menu choices, and dinner has excellent options too. Highly recommended!

The bedroom could use more drawer space, but otherwise I've just had three days and two nights here through Travel Zoo and really enjoyed it. It's a lovely period pub, well placed between Harlow and Marlow and close to Windsor. The staff and food were great, especially breakfast. Ozzie deserves a mention for his service, and Martin for his knowledge, interest in guests, and updates on local attractions and road traffic. See you again, thanks!

The lounge and bar had such a cosy feel, and our room was lovely. We’ve just had a superb two-night stay. The staff were very polite, a credit to you. Thanks for the Prosecco! We’ll definitely stay here again next time we're in the area.
