We ended up here because it was one of the few places open on Saturday evening. At 6:30 they’d already run out of several menu items, which was disappointing. But the chicken and salmon we chose instead were cooked and presented really well, and both were tasty. The waitress was cheerful and lovely.

A big thank you to the team at The Chlachain Inn for looking after me so well on my recent trip to Mallaig. I’d booked another hotel and couldn’t find it, so the staff here even phoned over to help me locate them. Dinner in the restaurant was superb too, with excellent service from Lewis and Toni. Highly recommended all round.

We were visiting from Fort William and stopped in for lunch with our two dogs. The atmosphere was lovely, the food was great, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier. Service was 10/10. We’d definitely recommend it and will be back.

We ate here twice during our stay nearby, and everyone enjoyed their meals both times. The plates were empty each visit. We were lucky to get a table, with friendly service, smiles and a nice chat. It’s dog friendly too, which was a big plus for us, and they looked after us well. I’d highly recommend booking ahead so you don’t miss out.

I only stopped in for a meal, but it stayed with me. Two and a half years on, I still think about the trio of fish and Cullen skink. Both were comforting, full of flavour and absolutely incredible. I’d go back in a heartbeat to have that experience again.
