The pool and spa were a lovely way to unwind, and breakfast had loads of fresh choices. I also found the location really handy, with shops, restaurants, and main sights all easy to reach on foot. My room was spotless and modern, the bed was very comfortable, and the view over Manchester was stunning. Staff were welcoming and professional from arrival, and check-in was quick. Everything felt thoughtfully taken care of. I had a fantastic stay at Hilton Manchester Deansgate and would happily come back on my next trip.

Breakfast was a highlight. The choices stayed the same each morning, but everything was good quality, and the coffee was especially excellent. We also enjoyed the roomy bar, with plenty of seats and TVs for sports, and the bartender was friendly. We chose this Double Tree for its easy walk to Piccadilly station and Etihad Stadium. The staff were all helpful, particularly in the breakfast restaurant. Our room was clean and comfortable. I only wish the closet were bigger, though it wasn't a major issue. I'd gladly recommend the hotel and hope to return soon.

Breakfast had some good choices, though I wonder if there's a cheaper option for people who only want cereal. The full breakfast feels expensive if that's all you're not eating. The bar and restaurant were both lovely, and we got a welcome cookie. We stayed one night as a couple. The room had everything we needed and was comfortable. It's well placed for Manchester Piccadilly station and an easy walk into the city centre. Check-in took a while because of the queue, but it wasn't a big problem. A pleasant stay, thank you.

The Store Street Exchange is a relaxed spot for a drink or snack, and they often have sports on. I'd even consider popping in for food or a drink when I'm not staying at the hotel. Food is good overall: the scrambled eggs with chives have extra flavour, and they do gluten-free sandwiches. This is one of the few places I've stayed with a genuinely tasty gluten-free late-night room service option at a reasonable price. Breakfast is usually good too, though it finishes earlier than I'd like, so I skipped it on my latest visit. As a Hilton Honours member, I generally feel appreciated here. I miss the old drinks voucher at check-in, but I usually get an upgrade along with free breakfast, and I've had a suite upgrade before. Room rates are usually affordable, and for the room and service, it's among the best value in the city. I'm looking forward to another stay. I'm curious whether upgrades will become less likely now that the Hilton on Deansgate has sadly closed and this hotel may get busier. I've stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester - Piccadilly several times and have never had a bad visit. It's close to Piccadilly Station, city shops and restaurants, and even the Etihad Stadium / Co-Op Live arena. Staff are consistently friendly and do their best to provide the usual Hilton service. The recently refurbished rooms are comfortable and well stocked. They're also pretty generic, much like rooms at other hotels I've visited, but I like the familiar feel because I know what to expect. As a Hilton Honors member, I was upgraded to a Deluxe Room and could use the complimentary mini bar. The hotel is surprisingly quiet inside and out for such a central spot beside the train station. The pillows are another plus: unlike those at many Hilton-branded properties I've visited lately, they're real, high-quality pillows and comfortable. I wish the TV ports were accessible. It had an HDMI extender, but I couldn't use my Fire TV Stick because I couldn't reach the USB connection, and there wasn't a usable AC adapter near the TV.

The check-in queue got pretty long. All the desks were open, but people were still being checked in slowly. Even so, I'd happily stay here again. The room was a bit smaller than ones I've had with other companies, but it was clean and warm, with a nice big double bed. There was a coffee maker and kettle, plus plenty of tea and coffee. The bathroom was a good size and clean, with lots of hot water and a nicely pressurised shower. The wall-mounted TV had Freeview. Internet was available, though I didn't need it since my phone signal was strong. The bar had plenty of beer and spirits to choose from. I didn't eat in the large restaurant, but there were people using it.
