Hello Hotel Manchester

The rooms were nice and clean, the service was excellent, and breakfast was a pleasant, simple start to a busy day. The room did get boiling hot during our August visit. Even with three fans, it was hard to manage, and the hotel could use air conditioning. We'd stay again.

We've stayed at the Hello Hotel three times now and have been very happy each time. The room was spotless, with a big, comfortable bed and everything needed for a good overnight stay. The staff were excellent, breakfast was very good, and Albert's Restaurant next door is great too.

The breakfast comes in a bag, which might put you off, but the bacon and sausage bap is actually very good. This is a budget hotel on the outskirts of Manchester, and I've stayed many times because the price and location suit my needs. Recently the rate had climbed beyond what seemed fair for this standard of accommodation. For this trip, I was pleased it had come back down to a reasonable level. Recommended if the price is right.

The carpets and bathrooms look as if they haven't been properly maintained for years, and even the bed sheets don't seem to be clean and changed regularly. It's hard to see much investment in looking after or updating the property. The key-operated door locks also feel dated and inconvenient now that contactless and digital access are common. I can see why it's a 3-star hotel, but with a Premier Inn and Novotel nearby offering more reliable standards, it may struggle unless it keeps prices heavily discounted. It's a shame because the place has potential with proper care and investment.
