Heathcote Hotel

The building and its design are exceptional, and most of the staff I asked were really helpful, going above and beyond. One odd thing was that I felt it was an inconvenience to go out for a smoke or run to the shop late at night, even though the night porter and security weren't asleep anyway. I'd stay again and highly recommend it.

The room was clean, and housekeeping came every day to make the bed and leave fresh towels. It's a little worn around the edges and could do with redecorating. Reception staff were amazing, welcoming, efficient and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble.

A warm, comfortable room made it easy to relax after a day in the city. It was spacious and spotlessly clean, with brand-new furniture and fresh, high-quality linen. The hotel is right in the city centre, just minutes from Piccadilly railway station.

On the morning we arrived, the room charge was taken again from my debit card, which overshadowed the whole experience. I was assured the £140 would be refunded within 3-5 days, but that doesn't undo having it taken by mistake. Personally, I would've offered a drink or breakfast on the house after such a big error. Instead, I got, "sorry about that but it wasn't me."
