Malmaison Manchester

The food was delicious, though I have a couple of small suggestions: the sound was a little limited, and it would help if the food stayed warm throughout. I used the “Work + Play” meeting room for my company’s annual strategy meeting, and the meeting went very well. It was comfortable for 37 people, with plenty of space, and had all the facilities we needed, including flipcharts, a large screen, office supplies, and a dedicated place for coats. The location suited us really well. Gwen was always available to help with requests and refresh the room during breaks.

The DJ played great music and had everyone dancing. The atmosphere was lively and fun, just right for a celebration, and the venue had a lovely festive feel. Our company Christmas party at Malmaison Manchester was fantastic from beginning to end. The staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive all night. Service felt seamless, and they made sure everyone was looked after. The food was a real highlight, with everyone raving about their meals. I especially recommend the beef cheek, cooked perfectly and meltingly tender. Malmaison Manchester put on a brilliant event, and we couldn't have asked for a better place for our Christmas celebration. We'd highly recommend it for a party or a great meal.

Breakfast was a highlight: the hot food was freshly made, served to the table, and the service was great. I was there for a conference, and the catering was excellent. The restaurant dinner I had was satisfactory; other diners said their meals were excellent. Dinner service was satisfactory too. The hotel has contemporary interiors, an excellent location, and a small gym.

My parents enjoyed the hotel, especially the bar. They said it was pretty clean and comfortable, and the bar staff were brilliant and couldn't have been more helpful. I booked the trip for them, my uncle, and me to celebrate my mam's 60th birthday, but then I became unwell and couldn't go. Customer service let the hotel down. I was worried about cancelling through the app because we still needed two other rooms, so I asked a Hotels.com chat agent for help. They tried to contact the hotel for me but couldn't get a response. I'd also used the app when booking to ask about arranging something special in the room for my mam's arrival, but I never heard back there. A few days before the trip, I emailed the hotel directly. The replies took so long that nothing could be set up by check-in day. I was told balloons were arranged through a third party. I asked if they could do anything at all during the two-night stay to make it special for her, but they stopped replying. I still haven't heard anything, and couldn't make her birthday stay special. That would put me off returning if I needed help from customer service.
