The club closed at 6am and told everyone to leave straight away, which is fair enough. But before ordering my Uber home, I asked to use the toilet quickly and was flat-out refused, despite having spent well over £100 there that night. Turning customers out onto the street at 6am, often while they’re waiting for transport, without access to basic facilities feels unreasonable and disrespectful. That poor end to the night ruined what had otherwise been an okay evening. I won’t return, and others should bear this in mind.

We don’t usually go for drag queens or cheesy pop, so I was pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed our Saturday night here. The music was great and the atmosphere really good. It wasn’t too crowded inside, so there was plenty of room to dance and have fun. Drinks were cheap and cheerful too. I’ll definitely come back and finish the night here or in vanilla.

The door staff seemed ageist if you’re not young, and they weren’t cooperative or nice, to be honest. The place is normally decent, but the guys at the door were pretty grim. Seriously, look at the recent reviews.

I came in on NYE and a staff member took my half-full beer from the side. At £5 a bottle, that’s pretty steep. When I challenged him, he didn’t apologise and refused to replace it, saying I should have looked after it and would have to pay for another. He had a glazed look the whole time I was talking to him and was very dismissive. He brought over his manager, who just defended him and wasn’t helpful at all.

The ladies who showed us to our rooms were friendly, and the beds were comfortable with clean facilities. We’d been warned about Friday night noise, so we prepared for it and made a night of it. The bedroom signs clearly say the downstairs bar music finishes at 4am, but it stayed unbearably loud much later, maybe until 5am. I don’t know the exact finish time, but it definitely wasn’t the stated cut-off. Anyone staying Friday or Saturday shouldn’t trust the printed info on the doors if they want more than four hours’ sleep. Then staff expect one-night guests to be out by noon. The signage feels misleading, and they should either stick to the stated times or change the signs for future guests.
