Being right by the entrance to Picadelly train station made such a difference to our trip around England, especially Manchester. It felt like a home base, with quiet rooms that had what we needed and a really good breakfast. Lovely Dianne at the downstairs pub counter was a highlight. This isn't luxury, but it's got the details covered and feels like home in the middle of Manchester. I'd definitely recommend it.

We were in Manchester for two days last weekend and ended up visiting this proper English pub twice. One visit was for a few hours, the other just a quick pint before our airport train. It's in a lovely, handy spot. Highly recommend.

The pub was welcoming and easy to find, and the staff were very friendly. It was cheap considering where it is. I'd happily stay here again.

We asked the woman behind the bar a simple question and she was extremely rude. When we ordered a Coke and asked for a straw, she called us weird. I'm not happy at all and won't be coming back.
