Crowne Plaza Manchester City Centre

Everyone we met was warm and friendly, which really made us feel at home. I believe the people are what make a hotel great, and the staff here did their best to look after us. Hannah gave us a lovely welcome and even offered a complimentary drink for my birthday. The room was lovely for the price, and when my partner wasn’t feeling well after a hangover, they kindly offered us a complimentary late checkout. We were really impressed.

The service could have been much better, though travelling through an agency may have affected that. It took quite a bit of effort to get the right rooms for everyone, and most questions about arranging things were met with “no can do.” We ended up switching some things ourselves and leaving the rest to the agency. The hotel is in a nice city location, with different transport options nearby. The rooms and food are fine for this price range, though if convenience weren’t a factor, I’d probably eat elsewhere. The training room was poor, with a few running machines and just one rowing machine. I’d add half a star if I could. All in all, it’s a good option for shorter or longer stays.

The staff were very nice, and the hotel’s in a good location. Rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast choices were fairly limited: the standard option is a full English, with other choices available for an extra charge.

A very good one night stay, and I appreciated the room upgrade. Service was professional throughout, especially from Nirmala in the Lounge. She was so friendly and welcoming. A couple of small suggestions for next time: the lounge breakfast menu lists cheese, but there wasn’t any available, so please bring it back. The canapés also didn’t compare with those at other Crowne Plaza’s we’ve stayed at. I mean that constructively, as these little details could make a future visit perfect 😁
