Crowne Plaza Manchester Airport

The hotel is very close to Terminals 1 and 3, about a 7-8 minute walk, and roughly 15-20 minutes from Terminal 2. It’s a large place and understandably busy given the airport location. My room was spacious and suited a business trip, with plenty of power outlets and USB sockets. The bed was comfortable, and I didn’t hear much noise apart from planes taking off, which don’t bother me personally. I stayed one night before an early flight. There’s a pool, gym, 24 hour reception, and early breakfast. I ate dinner in one of the two hotel restaurants and enjoyed the meal. Breakfast was continental, though the selection could be wider. Staff were friendly and the hotel met expectations, but prices are high, in line with other airport hotels in or outside the UK.

After trying four other nearby hotels, I chose Crowne Plaza Manchester Airport because of the people. Moving out of home for six months was incredibly stressful, but they made this feel like home. Eleni was the heart of the stay. Her warmth and kindness made me feel truly cared for, and coming back after a long day felt like returning to a community. Toni made breakfast a highlight every morning, with the best service I’ve ever had and a huge smile. I also really valued the evening hospitality and daily chats with Diane, Baba, and Waralak in the lounge. Nicu and Edward brought a reassuring level of reliability and professionalism. Megan and Andy were constantly supportive, and Max took meticulous care of my space throughout the half year. At reception, Michelle, Orlando, Daniel, and Sangeen made every hello feel like family. If you want to feel like more than a room number, this is the place.

Edward was especially helpful, and the service from everyone was great. The rooms are a good size and have most things you need for a stay. It’s ideally located for the airport and local area.

The staff made our first stay a pleasure from arrival to departure. Rafiu welcomed us at check-in with warmth, initiative, and a real ability to read what we needed. The follow-up checks about our rooms showed care too. We also appreciated how Eleni, the Guest Relations Manager, made time in a busy day to hear our feedback and respond. Her attentiveness and people skills are a real example for the Crowne Plaza Manchester Airport team. The other staff we met were polite and professional. The hotel has tasteful decor and a thoughtful refurbishment. The shared spaces and guest rooms are laid out well, with clear signs, a calm atmosphere, and newspapers available. Our room was exceptionally clean, and housekeeping deserves thanks. The shower rail was helpful, the paint wasn’t peeling, and the heating worked quickly and effectively. Melissa was exceptional at breakfast, friendly and attentive, and nothing was too much trouble. There was a wide choice of cereal, pastries, fruit, meat, vegetables, breads, and hot food, plus a menu to order from. I’d recommend the omelette, and thanks to the chef too. A lot of hotels could learn from their customer service. We’ll consider Crowne Plaza Manchester Airport on future visits to Manchester. Best hotel stay to date!
