CitySuites Two Aparthotel

The pool was a highlight, it’s big, beautiful, and the water’s warm, and the jacuzzi was really relaxing. The steam room wasn’t working, though: no steam, just cold air coming through a vent. The gym is large and reasonably well equipped for a hotel gym. Our studio apartment had a lovely bathroom, plenty of space, and everything we needed in the kitchen. The iron was dirty, so I couldn’t use it. The location’s handy too, near the city centre and cathedral.

Getting around was easy, with Victoria only a few minutes away on foot and shops and bars close by. The place feels high spec, with nice furniture, a coffee machine, kettle, great shower, plus a pool and spa. There were a couple of very minor maintenance issues in the changing rooms. The standout was the service. Anastasiia P helped us manage some difficult travel circumstances with real courtesy and professionalism. Breakfast was lovely too, much better than the usual hotel offering.

Absolutely disgusting. The bed and pillows were filthy and covered in hair, which is completely unacceptable. The mattress felt like concrete, and the bed was two separate mattresses pushed together, like a cheap hostel setup. Somehow the sofa bed was more comfortable than the actual bed, which is embarrassing for a hotel room. Save your money and stay somewhere else.

The room was lovely, spacious, bright, well equipped, and just the right temperature for me. It was quiet despite facing the road, and I slept well until the Sunday bells started. They’re beautiful, but don’t expect a lie-in! I was on crutches, so getting the room nearest the lift was a huge help. Check-in had a queue, but the woman at reception soon got through it and the process was easy. My main issue was the shower: the tray was so slippery I was afraid to move around, and there was nothing non-slip provided. I’d booked for one night before a concert at the Bridgewater Hall.
