We were in a junior suite, which was very good. The tea provided was the best I've had, no exaggeration, and the room was clean with good attention to detail. Rooms are cleaned on request, which seems typical of hotel chains now. Breakfast was very good, with a generous choice of main dishes. The main bar was a good spot to watch football without heading out into Manchester weather to find a city centre bar. We stayed at the Reach late last year, and it wasn't our first visit. The staff were marvelous. Maurice made us feel like family, and no task was too small for him to handle with the highest level of service. We look forward to seeing him next time. There were several Irish staff members, all lovely, professional, hardworking, and great to talk to. Matthew was new at reception and stood out too: polite, dutiful, courteous, and keen to help. Mohamed and Indre, who were always on late shifts, were brilliant, warm, helpful, and engaging. They made us feel as if we'd arrived home after a long day. Looking forward to coming back. All the best from Israel x

The room was a real let-down at breakfast. We had to ask for menus, waited about 20 minutes for someone to take our order, then another 20 minutes or longer for the food. I ordered avocado on sourdough with poached eggs, but got smashed avocado on toast with one egg, without garnish or presentation. You can get a better breakfast at Wetherspoons. The continental choices were fine, though. My partner paid for the suite for our one-night stay at The Reach Hotel. It was bright, clean, and had a lovely canal view. The hotel itself looked modern and well maintained, but the staff were the biggest disappointment. Organisation was poor, and the team seemed to lack basic customer service skills. There was lots of chatting among staff, and we noticed eye-rolling when they answered guests' questions. It felt unprofessional. For the price of a 4-star Marriott hotel, the experience didn't meet the standard I expected.
We stayed one night over the bank holiday weekend, and the staff were so welcoming and kind. After our 14-hour flight, they let us check in early. Breakfast had decent choices, and you can order from the à la carte menu as well. Great location, just around the corner from Piccadilly station. 10/10 experience.
I marked it down a little because it's a Marriott and I'm comparing it with Marriott standards. The location is great, close to Piccadilly station and the city centre. The rooms have a nice layout and design, even though they're on the small side. Cleanliness was a problem: there was dust, hair on the sink counters, and stains on the walls. Communication with the front desk and housekeeping was the biggest issue. They forgot the towels, and it took two hours to get them to me even after I asked several times.
The location makes getting around easy, just a few minutes' walk from the station and close to the city, shops, and restaurants. I had a great stay at The Reach Hotel Piccadilly and would come back. The service was friendly from the start, and it was a nice touch that my room was ready for early check-in. My room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast had a good range of options. I could hear some outside noise from the lower floor, but that's pretty typical for Manchester on a Saturday night. If you can, ask for a room on a higher floor.
